I just wanted to point out a great resource I recently came across: thumbalizr. It's a nifty tool that automatically creates pixel perfect thumbnails based on your size specifications. You can either set whether it captures the entire web page or just whats visible "above the fold". This will definitely come in handy for portfolio thumbnails, etc!
